FAQ

QRion FAQ

Answers that match the App Store positioning: inspection before action.

What makes QRion different from the iPhone Camera?

Camera is optimized to open QR codes fast. QRion is optimized to inspect first: destination preview, safety breakdown, and a deliberate confirm-open step.

What do Safe / Caution / Blocked mean?

They are guidance states based on on-device signals (blocklists, URL shorteners, suspicious domains, and phishing path patterns). They’re designed to help you slow down and decide.

Does QRion guarantee a link is safe?

No. QRion is not a guarantee. It’s a clearer inspection layer that helps you avoid obvious traps and understand what you’re about to open.

Does QRion work offline?

Core scanning, parsing, and on-device checks work offline. If you choose to preview page details (like a title) or open a link, that requires network access to the destination site.

Does QRion store my scans?

QRion can keep a local history on your device so you can review recent verdicts. You can clear history anytime inside the app.

Why does QRion ask for Camera permission?

The camera is used only for scanning QR codes. QRion does not record video; frames are processed in real time.

I see “Scanner Unavailable” — what now?

Check iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera and make sure QRion has permission. If you’re on a simulator, camera capture may be unavailable.

How can I report a false positive or a suspicious QR code?

Email us at [email protected] with the destination domain (or a screenshot). We’ll review and improve the heuristics.

Tip: If something feels off, trust that instinct — a cautious pause is the entire point of QRion.
