QRion Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 15, 2026

The short version: QRion is designed for privacy. Scans and safety signals are computed on-device. We do not run analytics, ads, or trackers.

What QRion uses

Camera (scanning)

Used only to scan QR codes. Camera frames are processed in real time and are not recorded by QRion.

On-device storage (history)

If you use History, recent scans and verdicts are stored locally on your device for convenience. You can clear history at any time.

Optional network requests

For some URL scans, QRion may request the destination page directly (for example, to fetch a page title / preview). This request goes to the destination website — not to Anchovy Labs.

What we collect

Anchovy Labs does not collect personal data from QRion.

No accounts

No login, no user profile, no server-side identity.

No analytics

No telemetry SDKs. No usage tracking. No advertising identifiers.

No tracking

We do not share data with advertisers or data brokers.

Important clarification

If you scan a URL, the destination site may receive network traffic from your device.

When QRion previews a URL (for example, by fetching a page title) or when you open a link, your device connects to that website. That website may log requests as any website normally would (IP address, user agent, etc.).

QRion does not proxy this traffic through Anchovy Labs servers.
